Why Do Men Buy Mail Order Brides?

So why do men buy mail order brides? Well let’s get something straight here – you can’t simply buy a mail order bride online. If a man wants to marry a foreign lady these days and get her to come and live with him in his home country then there are plenty of rules and regulations. Normally a man has to prove that he has met the lady and that they have a relationship. So if a man wants a Thai bride that normally means traveling to Thailand to meet his prospective bride.

As to why men like the idea of mail order brides, there are many different reasons:

Men perceive foreign women to be better. A lot of this is down to grass is greener syndrome. On the other hand many foreign ladies are considered to be much more feminine than the average American woman. For example very few Chinese women drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes.
Foreign ladies are more open to the idea of marrying a much older man. This makes them a good choice if a man wants to start a family later in life.
Many men just like ladies from a particular country. Many Western men like Asian women for example. Why? They just do, that’s all.
The Internet has made long distance relationships much easier to establish, thanks to the large number of international dating sites.

So these are a few reasons why a man would look to buy a mail order bride, although again it’s not generally possible to buy a wife. Of course there are fees involved with marrying a foreign lady – dating site and introduction fees for example. But it’s quite likely a man would need to pay for these even if he wants to find a wife in his local area.
